From the AshesAn introduction to our writingsby Recomposition collective Capitalism makes all of our lives worse, so we should end capitalism. That’s the basic perspective of this pamphlet. This is a collection of three articles which serve as a good introduction to our weblog, Recomposition, which is about learning from labour struggles to improve the strategies and tactics of radical unionists. The first story here tells about one very intense day in someone’s life at work as a day laborer. That story describes aspects of life under capitalism and how it affects his life for the worse. The second piece in this pamphlet briefly sets out some basic dynamics of capitalism in an accessible way. The third piece is a story about workers collectively (and successfully) organizing against how their employer limits their lives and steals their time.
